My big Granny Shawl an easy crochet scarf is a free pattern here on the blog! Scroll on down for the free pattern!
Weather is just turning colder and since I love scarves its time to drag out my collection of wraps and shawls. This is one of the shawls I love to wear when I am lounging on my sofa.
If you are new to crocheting, you are going to find this pattern easy, no sewing is required and you can make it to add it to your winter wardrobe.
There are several ways to wear this long scarf, just pass your arms through the armholes and drape it around your neck.
You can wrap one end around your neck and throw the other end over your shoulder.
Scarves are incredibly versatile there's really no wrong way to wear them.

PATTERN DESCRIPTION
This pattern starts with an initial chain which is the
length of shawl.
I divide the pattern in A,B,C,D,E sections
A: it is a part with hdc
B: it is a granny part
C: It is the central hdc part where we create the
armholes
D: It’s a granny part similar to first
E: it is the last
hdc part
End of work: edging across two edges of the length
Note:
you can chain less for a shorter shawl or more for a longer shawl, just make
the number of hdc a multiple of 3+1 so we can work the granny pattern with
clusters.
For a shorter shawl
chain 128 , you
work 127hdc
Chain125, you
work 124hdc
Chain122, you
work 121hdc
Chain 119, you
work 118 hdc
For a longer shawl
Chain
134,you work 133 hdc
Chain137, you
work 136hdc
Chain140, you
work 139hdc
Chain 143, you
work 142 hdc
Chain 146, you
