Crochet Bells Christmas ornament




Christmas is almost here and what better way to get in the holiday spirit than crocheting your own ornaments!



Crochet a festive hanger to welcome guests with the happy sound of jingle bellls!


What a sweet feeling of bells ringing! They are rung during Christmas to announce the arrival of the season, to proclaim the birth of Christ.
Lets have a cup of warm tea or coffe and settle in on the couch to crochet our holiday ornaments!

PATTERN

-US size G/6(4mm) crochet hook
-Worsted weight yarn 
You may use your leftover yarn in festive colors such as red, green, gold, white.

It is not important

Measurements
The bell is about  3” (8cm) wide and 1.96” (5cm ) long


Abbreviations in US terms:
YO=yarn over
Sts=stitches
Ch=chain
Sl st=slip stitch   
Dc=double crochet 
Rep=repeat
Sk = skip

Prev =previous


-Make a magic ring, ch1 and work row 1
 or
 -Chain 2 and insert your hook in second chain from the hook to work row 1.


Row 1: work 6 sc in the ring ( or in the first chain of the foundation chain), join with a sl st inserting your hook in the first sc of the row.(6sc)


Row 2:ch4, dc in next st ( in the second sc of prev row), ch1, *dc in next st, ch1* rep from * to * 3 times more , join with a sl st in 3rd ch of initial ch4 (you have 6 ch1 spaces)


Row 3: ch3, 2dc in first ch1 sp of prev row, 2dc in every ch1  space to the last space, work dc in last space, join with a sl st in 3rd ch of initial ch3 ( you have 6 pairs of 2 dc, the last pair is the last dc and the initial ch3)


Row 4: ch3, 3dc in the very first sp between dc pairs of prev row,( it is the space right next to ch3 you have just made),  3dc in every space between dc pairs of prev row to the end, join with a sl st in 3rd ch of initial ch3 ( you have 6 pairs of 3dc)


Row 5:ch1, in next st work sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st in next st, sl st in next st also, *, in next st work sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st in next st, sl st in next st  * rep from * to * 4 times more. (you have 6 clusters all around the bell)


Fasten off, weave in all ends.

BELL HANGER 

Chain 16 , leave a tail of 2" to sew it on the bell
You can attach a jingle bell to the inside.

With a piece of yarn make a simple red bow and attach it to the bell.
