How to crochet The Earth Shawl

Hi friends! Happy New Year!!

This is the shawl I have been working on during summer and I am so glad to finally show it to you!
The yarn is really great , it is like a cosy hug of wool that wraps you gently!
And colors are earth colors....mushroom as the ground , seaspray as leaves or lake water  and natural heather as  mountain rocks.

Last year was an amazing year for my merrry mary stories and I want to thank you for supporting my small business. On November 2018 I opened my Etsy shop with written patterns and since then I had a number of sales that made me really happy that so many people trusted me!
At the same time I started making videos in english on my new you tube channel  Merry Mary Stories while I had already an old greek channel Maria Grasia. This was a hard work for me as I am not a native english speaker and I am grateful to you for much support and encouragement.

CROCHET  PROJECT

This pattern starts from a small triangle that on every row is getting bigger and bigger.
We are making  increases in every first and last stitch and one increase in the middle of the shawl, there we will be working a corner, { 2dc, ch2, 2dc}, always at the ch2 space of previous corner.

CROCHET PATTERN

Note:I wrote all rows so it is clear how to work and always add 6 sts on every row. To accomplish this, I worked in a different way on every clusters row, because on cluster rows it is difficult to maintain the same number of sts and make the increases at the same time. So be a little bit patient and read the written pattern carefully and I promise you will have the right number of sts on every row.

Notes
We turn our work at the end of every row
– The first 3 chains at the start of every row count as 1 dc
– The last stitches of a row are worked in the third chain if it’s a dc row and in the first sc if it’s a sc row, of the previous row
– The amount of stitches mentioned at the end of a row only includes the double crochet or single crochet stitches and not the chains ( ch3 at the beginning count as 1 st)

Start with a magic ring or chain4 and join with a sl st in 1st ch to make a ring

Row 1 dc row (natural heather):ch3(count as dc), 2dc in the ring, ch2, 3 dc in the ring, -one corner is made in the middle of the row and there we have a ch 2 space-, turn  (6 sts)

Row 3 sc row (mushroom):ch1, 2 sc in very first st, sc in each of next sts till center of ch2 space, 2sc, ch2, 2sc in ch2 sp, sc in each of next sts till one st before the end, work  2 sc in 3rd ch or initial ch3, turn (18  sts)

ADD FRINGE

I added 4or 5 fringes in every color in the row, so 4 seaspray fringes, then 4 natural heather fringes, then 4 mushroom fringes  and so on…….

I added approx. 62 fringes all around the shawl Each fringe has 6 strands of yarn.
1: Cut the yarn into 6 pieces for every fringe of 11.08”(30cm) long.
2: Fold the strands of yarn for one fringe in half, forming a loop at one end.
3: Take your hook and draw the loop through the stitch that you’re attaching the fringe to
.4:Holding the top of the fringe in one hand, pull gently on the fringe ends with your other hand
5: Tighten the knot so that it’s secure.
6: To finish, trim the ends of the fringe so that they’re even.

  2. on row 11 . there are only 64 stitches 14 clusters x 2 equals 28, 2 at beginning and 2 at corner of one side. so 28 plus 4 equals 32 per side. what am I missing please.
