CROCHET PROJECT

It’s a sweater a lot easier than it looks. We are going to be making 2 scarves and fold them in half, make a central seam in front and in back piece leaving a long part free for neckline in V shape and we are going to be sewing the sides together from the bottom up to armhole point.

CROCHET PATTERN

We are going to me making a rectangle scarf (make 2)

The foundation chain for this pattern should be a base of 15 chains and then add 10 chains every time. So the right number of chains for this lacy pattern is 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75…..and so on

Sizes: S(M, L/XL, 2XL/3XL)

Chain 45(55,65,75)

Row 1: insert hook in 10th ch from hook, and work a dc, work dc 6 times more in same chain(in total 7 dc),* skip 4 chains ,ch1, dc in next(5th ch), ch1, sk 4 chains, work 7 dc in next(5th) chain*rep from * to * to last 5 chains, ch1, dc in last chain, turn

Row 2: ch4 (counts as dc and ch1 sp), dc in same very first st, *ch1, sk ch1 sp and the first and second dc of cluster of prev row, dc in 3rd dc of cluster , dc in 4rth dc of cluster, dc in 5th dc of cluster,ch1, sk  next 2 dc and next ch1 sp,work( dc, ch3, dc ) all in single dc of prev row*, rep from* to * to the point you have worked in last cluster of prev row , sk 2 last dc of the cluster and work (dc, ch1, dc) all in 2nd ch of initial ch9, turn

Row 3: ch3, 3dc in ch1 sp of prev row,* ch1, dc in second dc (out of the three dc of prev row), ch1, 7dc in ch3 sp* rep from * to * to thepoint you have worked your last cluster and before you , you see the 3 dc of prev row, ch1, dc in second dc, ch1, 4dc in ch1sp, turn
Row 4:ch3, dc in 2nd dc of prev row,*ch1, (dc, ch3, dc) all in single dc of prev row, ch1,sk ch1 sp and the first and second dc of cluster, dc in 3rd  dc of cluster,  dc in 4rth, dc in 5th * rep from * to * till you have worked in last cluster of prev row, ch1, (dc,ch3,dc) all in single dc of prev row, ch1, dc in last dc of prev row, dc in 3rd ch of initial ch3, turn

Row 5: ch4 (counts as dc and ch1 sp),* work 7 dc in next ch3 sp,ch1, dc in second dc of the three dc of prev row, ch1* rep from*to* to the end, you should have left with  a (dc, ch3, dc ) in prev row , work 7dc in ch3 sp, ch1, dc in erd ch of initial ch3, turn

Rep rows 2, 3, 4, 5 for as many rows needed to obtain desired length

1: for sizes small and medium work until row 70
2: for sizes Large to 3XL  work until row 80

Fasten of weave in ends

 Sewing

-Place pieces flat in parallel position, keep in mind to put them side to side having the starting rows side by side , this way you will have clusters in the same direction in both pieces, see photo below.
-Fold each piece in half so that the length is folded

Sewing

-Place pieces flat in parallel position, keep in mind to put them side to side having the starting rows side by side , this way you will have clusters in the same direction in both pieces, see photo below.
-Fold each piece in half so that the length is folded

Mark the middle point of the length of each piece.

Open the upper part in a way that you create  a V shape neckline opening. At this point you can mark the 2 pieces together and try it on so you see clearly how open you want your neckline to be.It will be the same opening in both front and back part.

Sew the central seam in the front part and in the back part, up to a point so you leave unsewn an opening as follows
*after having seamed both  front and then back seam  and before sewing the sides you will have 2 scarves with an opening in the middle as big as the total front and back neckline opening
1:   for sizes S, M, L= 8” (21cm ) for front and the same for the back part
2: for sizes, XL, 2X/3XL: 9” (23cm) for front and the same for the back part
Sew up the sides and leave an opening from shoulder to armhole point,( so its half the total armhole perimeter)for Sizes:

Small, Medium    7.87”   (20cm)
L /XL                   8.6”     (22cm)
2XL/3XL             10.23” (26cm)

Tie off and weave in ends.

Thank you !
